A Closer Look at Hilltop Garage

Hilltop Garage has been established for over 40 years and, as the name suggests, overlooks much of the local area from its elevated position on the junction of London and Drift Road.
Last week I met Graham Parish, who in partnership with David Balchin, owns and runs this successful garage. They bought the business in 2000 as they saw the opportunity to expand, improve and manage the garage in the way they wanted.
Over a coffee in his office, Graham explained in more depth. Their aim, from the start, was to focus on customer satisfaction. With over 7,000 customers on the books and with the majority returning year after year, they appear to have found a winning formula. However, the team are not complacent and strive to provide a ‘one stop motoring shop’ for their customers.
‘Your satisfaction is our reputation;’ is the foundation on which this business is managed, stated Graham, before taking me on a tour of the garage.
The garage has expanded over the last 14 years. Their number of vehicle lifts has increased to 7 and were all in use that day. I was shown the latest electronic diagnostic devices that are now vital part of the work carried out by the highly trained motor mechanics.
In this hive of activity, I was introduced to the team - 4 technicians, an apprentice and reception staff. They all live locally and were such a friendly, welcoming group, who between them, had decades of expertise that ensured that any type of car or van repaired, serviced or MOT’d would be completed to the highest standard.
I left Hilltop Garage with the reassurance that my car would be safe in their hands. Which reminds me – my MOT is due this month!
