Clanfield Crafts is a regular curated craft & art fayre which is run once a month in the Clanfield Memorial Hall in South Lane.  In addition to the many stalls we have at each event we also have a pop up tea room.

The fayre was founded by mother & daughter team Carol Dilley & Jacqui Knight a year ago (April 2013) to help to promote local talent.  To give people the opportunity to show their wares and be in the spotlight.  Often taking that first step and selling your work can prove daunting but at Clanfield Crafts we aim to take new crafters under our wing and help them towards going forwards with what they make and enjoy.  It is a very friendly, fun environment and it brings the community together in a lovely setting.  Using the village hall ensures it does not become another block of flats and keeps the spirit of the village alive.  We also support the Rowans Hospice by donations on entry and act as a donation point for the Waterlooville Food Bank where Carol is a volunteer.

Carol is also one of the organisers for the May Days Arts Trail and works full time as an artist from her own studio in Catherington.  Carol grew up for the most part in the village of Clanfield and has family residing so it made sense that what better location to set up something to encourage others in their artistic pursuits than the Memorial Hall.  In the past she has been a member of the Clanfield Carnival & her family are still actively part of the Twinning Association with Normandy twinned with Clanfield.  Carol was also married in the Parish at All Saints.

The fayres are run from 10.30 and doors close at 15.30.  The tea room offers a lovely selection of home baked cakes lovingly made by a professional cake maker & designer.  Set up with pretty table clothes and flowers and all served on vintage china it makes for a lovely sociable trip out for the community.  The memorial hall has excellent facilities making it friendly to the disabled & children and families, not to mention the superb parking.

Why not come along & pay us a visit.  Browse the stalls and talk the makers.  We also have regular artists at the fayres who are also taking part in the May Days Arts Trail.  We have a facebook page www.facebook.com/ClanfieldCrafts and also a twitter page @ClanfieldCrafts
