PPicking up the pieces at Glasstec

The ram-raid in Clanfield last Friday morning, which punched a hole in the front wall of the Co-op store, also damaged Glasstec, in the adjacent shop unit.  Vibrations, caused by shock waves as the cash machine was dragged from the front of the store, have damaged walls and display units in both businesses.

Glasstec have been counting the costs as they assess the damage within their premises.  Some display doors and windows, which line the interior of the shop, will have to be replaced due to cracked glass, buckled frames and jammed door locks.

Trevor Dorey, owner of Glasstec commented “We kept disruption to a minimum on Friday and Saturday by working from our Denmead store, but we are now fully open for business in Clanfield again.  We’ll have to replace some displays within the shop, but we can assure customers that work schedules are unaffected.”

Glasstec, which is a family run firm, has been in business for 20 years serving this community.  Much of their work comes from personal recommendation and this reflects the high level of service, excellent product quality and value for money offered to customers.
