Petersgate School increase in pupil numbers – consultation

Hampshire County Council has a statutory duty to provide school places... Currently Petersgate Infant School offers 60 places in Year R (age 4+) and has an overall permanent capacity of 180. The proposed enlargement will allow the school to offer 90 places in Year R and will increase the overall capacity to 270.The increased demand for school places is a direct result of a rising number of births in the area and local housing development. It is intended that permanent facilities will be available from September 2019.

The primary purpose of this consultation is to seek your view on the principle of enlarging the school to meet the demand for additional school places in the local area. We understand that you may have some questions regarding how the school buildings will be expanded and whether there will be an impact on travel to and from the school as a result of this proposal.

This consultation will run from Monday 13 November to Monday 11 December 2017.

A drop-in session where you will be able to discuss the proposal with County Council officers will take place on 28 November 2017 at Petersgate Infant School between 3pm and 6pm.
