Important date for your diary – Clanfield Exhibition Monday 4 December

Are you interested in what happens in Clanfield and keen to comment on plans to improve the shopping areas and public access in the village?

A public exhibition, arranged by East Hants District Council, is being held on Monday 4 December from 5.30 – 8.00pm at St James Church Hall in South Lane to show proposed changes to key shopping areas, access to local meadows and enhanced cycle routes.  This will be your chance to view the plans, ask questions of local government staff and ensure that they have your feedback.

Clanfield’s population has expanded over the last 40 years as new housing developments have arrived.  We live in a sought-after area, framed by the hills of the South Downs and located beside the National Park. Despite this, some parts of the village are in urgent need of improvement.  Our local shopping areas look tired and uninviting; public signage faded and difficult to read; small green spaces neglected and access for pedestrians and cyclists needs a re-think.  Other villages have benefited from upgrades – why not us?

Clanfield Online is urging everyone who lives and works in this village to visit the Clanfield Exhibition on Monday 4 December.

  • Come along to the exhibition and give your feedback
  • Tell neighbours, local friends and family - encourage them to visit
  • Share this news on social media – put this date on Facebook.

Monday 4 December from 5.30 – 8.00pm at St James Church Hall in South Lane

See you there!
