Family fun at the Three Parishes Summer Fayre
The families of Horndean, Clanfield and Rowlands Castle will be coming together to enjoy a great day of summer fun next month.
The Three Parishes Summer Fayre, held on Saturday 2st July, is a traditional country festival packed with activities, displays, food, drink and family-fun.
The Summer Fayre will be held at Five Head Roads, Horndean, from 11am until 5pm, and will culminate in a raucous barn dance in the evening complete with a live band and caller.
Cllr Sara Schillemore, councillor for Horndean, said: “The Three Parishes Summer Fayre is an event aimed at celebrating and promoting the communities of Horndean, Rowlands Castle and Clanfield.
“This is a great place to live and we feel it deserves its own event that showcases what the area has to offer and gives local families a chance to come together and have some fun.
“The fayre is free and will be great family fun while tickets are already on sale for the Barn Dance, which should be a real party.”
Among the entertainments on offer will be a packed programme of traditional arena events, including donkey rides, ferret racing, tug-of-war, bouncy castles and more.
There will be plenty of stalls to browse, food to try and music, dance and local beers to lift your spirit.
And you can get involved by entering one of a number of competitions including a pet dog contest, a flower and vegetable show, a cake competition or a photographic challenge.
The day will be capped off in fine style by the Barn Dance, from 7.30pm until 11pm with music from the popular live band Squinty McGinty.
