UPDATE ON CLANFIELD COMMUNITY & SPORTS CENTRE

Clanfield Parish Council is pleased to announce that, following successful discussions with an operator, it is now proceeding with the acquisition of the Community and Sports Centre from the developers of the Windmill View estate. This includes the adjacent tennis courts which have been provided by East Hampshire District Council.

At the request of the operator, no further statement will be issued until the legal documentation is in place. This is expected to be in about 4-6 weeks’ time when arrangements for the future opening of the facilities will also be further advanced.

Terry Collins, Chairman of the Parish Council, said:

“This is a huge step forward in bringing these excellent new facilities into use. I am sure that residents are going to be delighted with what the centre will offer and how community-focused it will be.”
