Butser Ancient Farm are delighted to welcome more new arrivals to the farm. Twin baby goats were born overnight between Sunday 11th and Monday 12th March – a real Mothers’ Day surprise for their mum, English goat Bella! The farm’s other goats, Ainee, Sorrell and Yarrow followed soon after with the birth of their kids bringing our grand total to 6 new-born baby goats.  English goats are a traditional breed in Britain with only about 1800 individuals in the country, the farm are delighted to be welcoming more to the world and now is a perfect time to visit and say hello to all the new arrivals as spring unfolds on the farm. The farm is currently open from Monday to Friday but at the end of March will open seven days a week.

Butser Ancient Farm is also excited to be hosting the book launch for  local author Tiffany Francis’ new book ‘Food You Can Forage’ on the 21st March, we will be following the launch with a series of foraging workshops led by Tiffany, more information about the launch and workshops can be found on our website. www.butserancientfarm.co.uk
