Snow Memories
Before it all becomes just a hazy if chilly memory, I thought I would share a few photographs of the village as the snow melted. Wintery weather on this scale doesn’t happen that often in Hampshire, so I was determined to record some scenes before the land turned back to green and brown. My path took me up North Lane, along Thieves Lane and then back into the village via Sunderton Meadow. If you’ve signed up for the 5K run at the Clanfield Challenge, then you will know this route. https://www.clanfieldchallenge.co.uk/14/5k-challenge
It was great to see so many children discovering the joys of sledging, some for the first time. However, there was a distinct lack of snowmen/women/persons built? Was it the wrong sort of snow this year – too dry perhaps? I did see a family group plus a dog having a great time in the snowdrifts in Thieves Lane. I don’t know who enjoyed it more – mums reliving the fun of childhood, excited children or a mad spaniel?
