Petersgate Summer Fayre - flying celebration
Author: Anne Cleaver
Keep your eyes on the skies this Sunday, 1st July, at the Petersgate School Summer Fayre between 11.00 – 15.00. Aerial displays by 10 birds of prey will have a starring role as they swoop and dive showing off their hunting skills.
Petersgate PTA have been busy organising a fun-filled day for all ages and they appear to have arranged for the weather to be perfect as well! There will be fairground rides, football shoot-out games, a trolley ride and arena events that feature school and other clubs. Hampshire Police and Fire Service have promised to come along – who doesn’t want the opportunity to have their photo taken with our brave, local officers?
Make sure you have plenty of pocket money with you for all the stalls with lots of tempting things on offer. There will be a tombola, raffle and pocket money games – lots of chances to win a prize. And don’t forget to stop and say hello to Home-Start Butser who are celebrating their 20th Anniversary.
Mum, Dads and Grandparents - if the Fayre becomes too overwhelming then there will be refreshments and a Pimms & Prosecco Tent - a welcome drink to cool you down.
We all need to do our bit to help raise as much money as possible for Petersgate Infant School – the local school that gives village children the best start in their education.
