Christmas Trees in Clanfield– your feedback
4th January 2018
Villagers streamed into the Memorial Hall last Saturday for the St James Christmas Fair. It was cold, wet and windy outside but the warmth of the welcome from St James parishioners was worth the visit. There was a smile from every side of the hall as happy volunteers manned tables packed with festive goods for sale, raffles, tombola and a tempting cake stall.
The Christmas Fair raises much needed funds to maintain the parish church at the heart of old Clanfield. One of the organisers commented “it was a very successful Christmas Fair with people enjoying homemade soup and cakes for lunch as well as picking up some bargain Christmas Gifts. Thanks to all who came to support us.”
St James Church recently advertised for musicians to help fill the church with music this Christmas. St James Church plea Even if you can’t play a note you will still be very welcome at any of the services this Christmas – we will be advertising services in all our local churches in December.
The editor of Clanfield Online bought a winning ticket in the church raffle and walked away with a beautifully iced Christmas cake – thank you!
