Clanfield Gardening Club

Clanfield Gardening Club have been busy in the last two weeks planning and planting up the flowerbed beside the Drift Road roundabout.  Clanfield Online provided the budget for the plants, which are sourced from our local greengrocer and florist in Drift Road.  Nigel Hadwen

Clanfield Online have always strived to support local community groups and when the website asked for volunteers to help to maintain the flowerbed, the local Gardening Club didn’t hesitate to step forward.

Next time you are walking down to the shop please stop and admire their work.  They’ve used box hedging to enclose and divide the flowerbed into planting sections.  Once the summer is over, the group will be back to replace the summer plants with winter colour.

If we have another scorching summer this year then watering this patch is going to be a challenge.  Have you got a caravan watercarrier (on wheels) that you no longer want?  It would come in very useful for keeping the flowerbed and the plant containers moist. If you have one, then please contact us. Contact us

Our thanks to the volunteers from the Clanfield Gardening Club.
