Clanfield's Cake-Off Competition
Calling all creative cake makers - a new baking competition is coming to Clanfield and everybody is invited.
Whether you have been baking for years or want an excuse to see if you have got what it takes, the Bake Off Competition is for everyone.
Being organised by The Co-operative Food - Clanfield, in White Dirt Lane, the bake off is being held in aid of Petersgate Infant School - the store's current charity partner.
The prizes have been generously donated by local businesses:
- 3rd prize - a hamper of Co-op wine and chocolates
- 2nd prize - £15 voucher from paws and claws photography
- 1st prize - a lovely hamper from Sew Made for You
Megan Taylor, Store Manager at the Southern Co-op store in Clanfield, said: "Having the school so close to our shop, we enjoy and get pride out of supporting them.
"We decided a bake off would be something a little different and something everyone can get a little creative with whilst having some fun!"
Registration is open this Wednesday and Thursday from 12pm to 2pm with the competition taking place on Saturday 26 October from midday.
Entry costs just £5.
The tough task of judging is being undertaken by Store Manager Megan and Duty Managers Danny and Russell.
