Clanfield Parish Council update: public area closures and meetings update.

Important announcement for all residents

Closures in response to government restrictions

Closure update Monday 30th March 2020

As of this morning, Monday 30th March, and until further notice, Clanfield Parish Council has closed the car park at South Lane Meadow at the request of the Police.

The children's play area remains closed. The meadow is open for personal exercise only. All users are requested to observe social distancing guidelines.

In response to the latest restrictions imposed by the Government, Clanfield Parish Council has CLOSED the following facilities with immediate effect and until further notice:

  1. At Peel Park - the car park, the pavilion, the children’s play area and the skateboard park. For the time being, the park itself remains open for personal exercise only but we may have to review this decision if the children’s play area and the skateboard park, which cannot be readily isolated from the open space, continue to be used.

  2. At South Lane Meadow - the children’s play area.

  3. At Endal Way / Storrington Road - the children’s play area and the MUGA (multi-use games area) between the Sports and Community Centre and the Storrington Road field.

The Annual Parish Meeting which was due to be held on 7th April has been postponed. No formal meetings in person of the Council or its Planning Committee or its Working Groups will be held for the time being. A further announcement will be made when Government guidance is received on the conduct of Parish Council meetings during the emergency.

If you need to contact the Parish Council, please use the Contact Us page on the Parish Council website - - or email or phone 02392 596353. We will do our best to respond as soon as we can.

We wish all residents well during this health emergency and we look forward to the day when it will be possible for the restrictions to be lifted.
