Help Home-Start Butser support local families

Can you help Home-Start Butser to assist struggling families in this time of national crisis?  Just a donation of a few ££’s would make all the difference to our local family support charity, so they can continue their vital work.

Please see their plea for help below….

Over the past weeks, our lives have all been turned upside down. Coronavirus (COVID-19) will impact us all, but it is placing the greatest strain on families who are already vulnerable, including those already isolated, facing financial hardship and mental health challenges.

Parents are struggling to get nappies or food they need for their children. For many children nurseries and school is where they get their main meal of the day. Families already under pressure now have to unexpectedly provide food throughout the day.

The current restrictions on movement may mean that home-visiting and group work can’t be offered, but Home-Start Butser is working tirelessly to stay connected with families and continue to support families remotely when they can’t visit them in person.

Home-Start Butser and our wonderful volunteers are making regular contact with our families, offering a listening ear and practical advice. We are also working alongside partners in the local community to ensure our families get vital food, baby goods and other supplies delivered to them during the outbreak.

But we can’t do it alone. It is only with your support that we can help those most in need.

  • £10 could help us support struggling parents with practical goods like nappies and baby food.
  • £15 will allow us to provide a crafts and activities pack for families who have no resources for their children.
  • £25 will help us stay in touch with a family in need through phone calls, newsletters and food deliveries.

Please follow this link to donate and help us to continue to support local families with young children through this crisis.
