Robust precautions needed before local churches can reopen
A message about the continuing closure of local churches from Revd Richard Hutchins; Vicar at St James Clanfield and All Saints Catherington
“I am sure many will have heard about the government permission for our churches to open from Saturday 13 June for private prayer and funerals.
“Practically this is not as straightforward as it may seem, so we will not be opening them just yet - and will let you know when they do. It is a clear priority for us, but it also needs to be the right and safe decision, at the right time, once robust precautions are in place.
“There is no change to the requirement to keep our churches closed for public worship services so these will remain online via Facebook, YouTube and Zoom as they are at present: please email Revd Richard if you would like details of these services.” (revrichardhutchins@gmail.com).
