Clanfield Memorial Hall recruiting new trustees

 Clanfield Memorial Hall

Clanfield Memorial Hall is hoping to attract two new members to join their Board of Trustees. This is your chance to get involved in an important local facility that serves our community.

YOUR MEMORIAL HALL NEEDS YOU!

Do you have a desire to be a part of your local community?

Do you have one free evening a month?
Are you willing to roll your sleeves up and get involved?

In the early 1920s, the first Memorial Hall, a Nissen hut from Aldershot barracks, was sited in what was then the heart of Clanfield - on land next to where the shops now are - in South Lane. The building is the village's war memorial, honouring those villagers who served and fell in the two world wars.

So, the hall has been at the heart of the community for a century, providing the residents of Clanfield with a venue for many community meetings, gatherings and shows over those years.

As with all good things, the memorial hall needs good people behind it so....the current Board of Trustees is looking for two new members. Could you be one of them? You need have no previous experience of community or voluntary work, but a wish to be actively involved with looking after a very important village building.

Clanfield Memorial Hall is run as a charity and managed by a team of Trustees whose positions are voluntary, so are non-paid, but require villagers from all walks of life to give time, energy, and passion.

You will need to be aged 18 or over, live within a five mile radius of the hall and be available for one evening meeting per month, to work as part of the Trustee Team to complete the tasks necessary to keep our lovely hall up and running - anything from paperwork to gardening!

If you would like to join us, the trustees look forward to hearing from you, so please get in touch by e-mailing: mailto:clanfieldmemorialhall@gmail.com (A DBS check may be required)
