Bobby beats the litter
Bobby, aged 5, was out on a mission today. Enjoying his one outing of the day and accompanied by his mum, he was doing his bit to make our village clean and tidy. Bobby was armed with his litter picker to clean up after the litter louts, whose thoughtless behaviour endangers wildlife and pollutes our streets, hedgerows and woods.
Due to the coronavirus this little boy isn’t allowed out with his friends, attend school or enjoy local play equipment. Yet, he had a big smile on his face, as he cleared up dropped litter and made life just a bit better in this village.
Our message to the litter louts? “Shame on you!” – local children are picking up your litter.
Since we published this article, we’ve received a photograph of Bobby’s friend Darcie, also 5 years old, helping to clean up our village. We’re sure they are not alone in their efforts - we salute you all.
Well done Bobby and Darcie - Clanfield is proud of you.
