Late night Thursday – support your local shops
On Thursday 17 December, some of the Drift Road businesses, that would normally close, will be staying open until 8pm. They have banded together to give everyone the opportunity to do local, late night, shopping before Christmas.
What a year it has been and it’s not over yet. Local businesses have been working non-stop on our behalf, to ensure we can buy what we need right here in the village. So, on Thursday night the shop lights will be shining at Reeves Butchers, Charlie’s Trade Centre, Local 36, Clanfield Greengrocers, Belle de Vie, and Coco’s: The Wild Tea Bar will be offering hot drinks and delicious food and Budgens, the Co-op, the Nisa and the Mela will be open late as usual.
There is absolutely no need to travel this Christmas - it’s all here on your doorstep: fruit and flowers from Nigel; cheese and deli from Graham; toys and houseware from Holly; batteries and candles from Charlie; pamper vouchers from Tina and Julie: wine and chocs from Andy and Jacqui and much, much more.
We face further challenges in the next few months; we all need to do our bit to support the local community. Business owners and their staff live locally, they are your neighbours, and this village won’t be the same without them.
Come along on Thursday evening – stay safe withHands, Face, Space - and show your support for Clanfield businesses.
