Top marks for Pals of Petersgate
‘Pals of Petersgate School’ worked hard smartening up the flower planters in Drift Road last weekend. Parents and children, from Petersgate, volunteered to apply several coats of wood stain to the containers to protect and preserve the wood.
Local businesses provided the materials – Clanfield Trade Centre donated the wood stain, brushes and buckets; Belle De Vie provided aprons and gloves; Budgens provided ice creams to keep everyone cool and Clanfield Greengrocers made up a big box of fruit to keep the ‘workforce’ fed - and Clanfield Online were delighted to donate £100 to school funds for this community project.
The wooden containers are filled with flowers throughout the year and, in Decembe,r we plant Christmas trees to light up the festive season – all funded by Clanfield Online.
Our thanks to the parents and children of Petersgate School for their help in this community project.
