Petersfield Urgent Treatment Centre open 365 days a year
New improved services for people needing urgent health care are available every day of the year at Petersfield Urgent Treatment Centre.
NHS urgent care services are facing unprecedented demand, but Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) like the one based at Petersfield Community Hospital can help you get the treatment you need for a range of issues - and avoid queues at Emergency Departments
Petersfield UTC is run by Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. It is GP-led and staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals. The UTC is open 8am - 8pm, 365 days a year.
People who previously had to travel to receive urgent care can now go to Petersfield, instead of travelling further in either direction along the A3(M) – also relieving pressure elsewhere in the NHS
Staff can treat include strains and sprains, skins infections and rashes, ear and throat infections, suspected broken limbs, eye problems, emergency contraception, minor injuries, minor burns and many other conditions. X-ray facilities are available Monday to Friday. For details, click here.
Patients are encouraged to contact NHS 111 – online or phone - and will receive pre-booked same-day appointments if appropriate. Walk-in patients, without appointments, will be clinically assessed by a triage nurse or other health professional. The UTC is located at Petersfield Community Hospital, Swan St, Petersfield.
