We’re very excited to let you know that Home-Start Butser has once again been selected to participate in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2021, the UK’s largest match funding campaign.
Last year we exceeded our target and raised over £28,000 for our Because Childhood Matters project. This enabled us to support 24 local families.
This year we have increased our target to £30,000 for Home-Start Butser to carry on our vital work, recruiting and training volunteers to support families with young children going through very challenging times.

Now is the time to build a more compassionate and kind support system for the families with young children that need it most. By nurturing healthy relationships, ensuring safe home environments, and fostering kind, compassionate communities. Volunteers are at the heart of what we do.
Becoming a parent is a joyful but sometimes overwhelming time and it becomes even harder when you are facing additional challenges such as mental health difficulties, financial pressures, loneliness, language and cultural barriers, a lack of support networks, and the impact of Covid-19. More parents than ever are coming to us for help.

We know you share our vision and are inspired by the fantastic opportunities we are creating for young families in our area so we are asking you to encourage as many people as possible to support our Christmas Challenge.

All donations made online to this project between 12pm on 30 November to 12 pm on 7 December will be matched. Donations can be as little as £5 which will raise £10.
We will send details of how to donate when the campaign launches.
