Clanfield Gardening Club – adding colour to the village

Clanfield Gardening Club volunteers have employed their ‘green fingers’ to make a colourful display in the village in the past few weeks. Funded by Clanfield Online, our local gardening club plant up the community flowerbed and wooden planters in Drift Road throughout the year.

These volunteers devise a colourful planting plan, that includes wildlife friendly plants alongside flowers that can cope with summer drought conditions. When the planters were cleared for the new display the old, but viable, plants were given to organisations and businesses around the village – recycle and renew.

Clanfield Online has also donated plants to the Memorial Hall, the Clanfield Bowls & Sports Club and the Clanfield Centre. The website is delighted to work with these organisations that add so much to our community life. And local volunteers continue to maintain the roundabout in Drift Road - they keep the hedging neatly trimmed, removing weeds and litter.
