Whiteland Copse – preparing the ground
Clanfield Working Group volunteers have been busy preparing the ground, at the top of Whiteland Way, for the arrival and planting of over 150 trees on Saturday 27 November.
If you wish to help plant up Whiteland Copse please come along at 10.00am on Saturday 27th and bring a garden trowel. In preparation, planting holes have been dug by a local farmer using a special auger to drill into the soil.
Whiteland Copse will be created using native trees, sourced from the Woodland Trust, on council owned land. This will be a great start for our village to be part of National Tree Planting Week (27/11 – 5/12) where people across the country come together to celebrate and plant trees.
Clanfield Parish Council is hoping that many local residents will ‘join the team’ to help to plant a tree to kick off National Tree Planting Week. Register your interest: contact@clanfieldPC.org.uk
This is your chance to make a difference to the landscape of our village. Bring the family, bring a trowel, and plant a tree that will be enjoyed for generations to come
