Clanfield Club bowls with safety and fun in mind

Chalton resident, Jane Woodroof, is now a member of Clanfield Parish Council. She was co-opted onto the Council at its most recent meeting and she is looking forward to representing the views of Chalton villagers at Council meetings.
Speaking about her new appointment, Councillor Woodroof said:
“I became interested in the work of Clanfield Parish Council when I was invited to join its Community Working Group last year as a non-Councillor member and I was pleased to put my name forward when a vacancy arose on the Council recently. The Council’s strategic objectives cover subjects which interest me personally, particularly initiatives relating to the inclusion of young people and to the environmental emergency which we are all facing. I am looking forward to doing all I can for my local community.”
Parish Council Chairman, John Bannell, added:
“I am delighted that Jane has joined us and I look forward to working with her. It is very good news that Chalton, which is such an important part of the Parish, now has its own representative on the Council.”
