East Hants Butser Neighbourhood News

Morning all,

Just wanted to give you a quick update on what’s been happening across the Butser sector over the last 48hrs.

Further reports of number plate thefts in the New Barn Lane area of Chalton have been reported. This is part of an ongoing issue which the local #Butser neighbourhood policing team are looking into. For those of you who follow our Facebook page are aware, we have previously recovered three stolen vehicles on stolen plates in the Havant area before Christmas, which we believe are linked and investigations are still ongoing. We have also been informed that a 4th stolen vehicle has been recovered on stolen plates in the Buckinghamshire area as part of this series and work is still ongoing. If you have been a victim of this type of crime please report it to us via 101 or online using the following link:

We have had reports of dangerous driving in and around Petersfield car parks. Whereby unknown individuals are attempting to do donuts in their vehicles.

If a vehicle is used in a manner where it is causing alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public it can be classed as vehicle-related Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB). Examples of this could include kerb-crawling, dangerous and anti-social driving on or off the road, vehicles being sold or repaired on the street, dangerously parked vehicles or mini-motorbikes ridden. If we are able to identify these offenders then police have the power to seize these vehicles…. For further advice on legislation around vehicle ASB please click on the following link:
