For those of you wishing to pay respects to Charlie, he will be passing by the shop in Drift Road for one last time at around 10am on Friday 21st January - heading down from Hilltop.

A heartfelt poem written by one of Charlie’s customers

Where Charlie's gone, we cannot see

But we know that he will be

At ease at last, and from customers free.

His life of serving is now past

No more open and close almost every day

No more ordering so he could say

'Yes we have one of those'

Just the peace that he now knows

Just that peace of quiet repose.
