A message from Clanfield Trade Centre

Morning all….. Warning this is a long one!

It’s been a while since we have posted. As you can probably understand it’s been a tough few months for us, adjusting to life without Charlie at home and at the shop.
We would like to just do a final thank you….
Your support and kindness has been so greatly appreciated - From the outpouring tributes, letters, flowers, poems, cards, words of comfort and our very own little hedgehog from Clanfield’s mystery talented knitter, #88 “The remembering Charlie edition”!
Not to forget the crowds of people who took time out of their day to pay their respects to Dad on the day of his funeral!!! We can’t put into words how incredible it was to turn the corner at the top of Drift Road and see the community, we as a family love so much, gathered together to say their final farewell.
Clanfield you did Charlie and us all proud! You put your arms round us and carried us through the toughest day, you gave us something to hold onto and treasure! ❤️

We also wanted to share with you the totals raised in his name for the Rowans Hospice and Clanfield 1st Scout Group from your generous donations!
Rowans Hospice - £1,550.00
1st Clanfield Scout Group - £600

As most know already, we will be continuing to keep the shop going, with your support. It will never be truly the same without Charlie. But we’ll keep his values and do our very best to continue the service he provided to our much loved Clanfield Village!
These are big shoes to fill with a lot to learn! But we’re here and we’re determined as ever!
Thank you Charlie’s Family x
