Clanfield Voluntary Support Group

Summary

CLANFIELD VOLUNTARY SUPPORT GROUP

We are a group of local people who volunteer to give help and support to residents of Clanfield and North Horndean who have no-one to assist them. We began in 1978 as Clanfield Voluntary Care Group and changed our name to Clanfield Voluntary Support Group in 2021.

We help in the following ways:

  • Transport to appointments at local GP surgeries, hospitals, clinics, blood tests, opticians, chiropodists and hairdressers

  • Transport to local shops

  • Sitting with the housebound to provide company or to relieve carers who need to go out.

Our running costs are met through voluntary donations from the people we help.

ALL volunteers are DBS checked.

We are one of over 100 similar groups in Hampshire, who are supported by The Good Neighbours Network (GNN). They are funded by the Diocese of Portsmouth, Winchester and Guildford, by Hampshire County Council and Hampshire’s NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups.
