The Windmill Players

The Windmill Players

The Windmill Players is an amateur dramatics group that has been nurturing local talent to delight audiences in Clanfield for over 30 years.

Currently we put on two productions each year; a concert in August and a Pantomime in January. When we are rehearsing, we meet on Friday evenings (and some Wednesdays) for 2 hours in St James's Hall in Clanfield. Our shows are performed in The Memorial Hall, South Lane, Clanfield.

The membership is currently informal and there are no fees to pay either for membership or for taking part in a production.

We are always looking for new members who are enthusiastic about the performing arts. They need to have a minimum of experience; can act, sing and even dance and are from 12 years upwards. There are lots of opportunities to develop these skills.

We are very much a part of the community with connections to the performing arts department to Horndean Technology College in Horndean. We put on a fundraising concert for The Rowans Hospice each year with the assistance of the local area fundraiser.  Our panto's are very well received within the community and are full of music and fun for all ages from 4 to 94+.

The Windmill Players are a very happy group and our whole purpose is to provide fun and entertainment not only to our audiences but for our members as well.
