Corner Fifty Three Distilling

Corner Fifty Three is a craft distillery focusing on pushing the boundaries of gin production. Currently based in a workshop just off Green Lane in Clanfield, the completely self funded project was started by Thomas Rudman at the end of 2017 and prides itself on its independance from the rest of the gin industry. In production at the moment C53 has;

Pomelo Pink Grapefruit and Wormwood Gin - A vibrant mixing gin designed to create a punchy and flavourful G&T. We flavour Pomelo with fresh Pink Grapefruit, Apple, Pear and Lemon to create a gin that is able to stand up when mixed with tonic meaning incredible versatility when used in cocktails and long drinks.

Cherokee Maple and Sarsaparilla - A gin created to be akin to the flavor profile of high quality dark spirits like whisky. We distill Cherokee with Orange, Apple, Liquorice and Sarsaparilla to create a smooth, golden, zesty and slightly sweet spirit. Best mixed with elderflower tonic to bring out the floral notes, or perfect in a espresso martini.

Umami Butternut and Shiitake Gin - Umami is our most inventive product while also being closest to a conventional “London Dry” out of the three. It combines Sun Dried Tomato, Butternut Squash, Shiitake Mushrooms and Rosemary to create a unique savoury spirit. Although making a fantastic G&T when paired with indian tonic, Umami also makes a great red snapper (a gin bloody mary).

While making the core three products using inspiration from all over the world, Corner Fifty Three also develop limited editions including; Lemon Meringue Pie Gin, Prohibition Gin, Viking Fire Overproof Gin and a yet unnamed Spiced Rum.
