Strawberry Tea a huge success!

The Strawberry Tea in the Glennie's Garden was bathed in warm sunshine and this produced a record Attendance of visitors and a record Profit.

The gallant band of helpers were rushing from tent to kitchen with cups and saucers, washing them at record speed to accommodate newcomers (footnote - next year we will have many more!)  Even more scones had to go in the oven and many kettles boiled. However I don't think anyone went without and our apologies if you had to wait a bit.

St. James' profited by £627.50(about £200 more than ever before) and a donation of £25.00 was made to the Scouts for the loan of their tent and some tables.  Many, many thanks to all the valiant helpers, tea pourers, strawberry preparers, scone cookers, washer uppers etc., etc.

An amazing day!

Here’s looking forward to next year?!
