On Monday 4 August, everyone in the UK is invited to turn their lights out from 10pm - 11pm leaving on a single light or candle to mark the moment the UK entered the First World War, one hundred years ago. http://www.1418now.org.uk/lights-out/
Across the country from the Shetland Isles to Cornwall and from Jersey to Northern Ireland public buildings and private homes will dim their lights in respect for this anniversary. http://www.1418now.org.uk/lights-out/search/
In Hampshire, over 100,000 street lights will be dimmed by the County Council between 10pm and 11pm as part of this commemoration.

Show your support by turning off your lights on Monday night - but leave a single light in a window facing the street between 10 – 11pm.
