Walking this Christmas
Christmas plans have been disrupted and family get togethers are curtailed if not cancelled. Instead of party games and packed festive tables, Christmas will be more subdued as we try to keep everyone safe. Video chats and calls to loved ones will be vital but won’t fill the days in the same way. And there’s definitely a limit to watching boxsets, slumped on the sofa, with chocolates to hand!
But, if we can’t be with the people we love, at least we can be out and about in the countryside we love.
We are lucky to live on the edge of the South Downs National Park, with its beautiful rolling chalk hills. Clanfield Online published a number of walks this year using local public footpaths. These walks continue to be very popular: so, pull on your boots, waterproofs and a colourful hat – topped off with tinsel - to lift the spirits! Put a spring in your step as we leave this year behind - 2021 can only get better.
