Local people from the Hampshire Coppice Group will be demonstrating the making of wattle hurdles, gate hurdles, besom brooms, traditional hay rakes, tent pegs and clothes pegs. There will also be a chance to buy a range of products and hear talks on traditional woodland management.
Standard admission rates apply, which includes entry to the rest of this award winning site and the chance to see our new Saxon House (kindly supported by the South Downs National Park).
This is the last weekend opening at Butser Ancient Farm for the 2015 season. We are open over the winter months Monday to Friday, with several special events such as Samhain, Fright Night and family Christmas celebrations planned.
