St James Church, Clanfield

Summary

Whether you come as a regular worshipper, an occasional visitor or just want some peace and quiet during a busy day, we welcome you to St James Church in Clanfield.

You can find us opposite the Rising Sun Pub at the end of South Lane.

The history of St James Church tells a story about how people have been worshipping and praying in this place since medieval times. This church has become a holy space where people at all stages on their spiritual journey can come and find God. Our church is therefore more than just a quaint, picture postcard of bricks and mortar; rather its foundations are based on the generations of Christian people who have found and continue to find God in Jesus Christ.

Our aim is to be an extended family and we welcome people of all ages and traditions. Our services range from the traditional Prayer Book style Communion service, through a modern language Communion Service, to an informal Morning Praise service. We also hold monthly "Messy Church" which is primarily for families with young children to enjoy time together in worship and craft, and also includes a meal. All at no charge.

Whatever your wants and needs, we welcome you into our Christian family here in Clanfield. This is your village parish church and it is our hope that you find your home here with us.

A spititual welcoming and healing community, seeking wholeness for all in the name of Christ.
