Lots going on this week at your Village Inn and even more reason to visit The Rising Sun this week.
Friday 8 May - Friday night is Music Night with the fabulous Phil Owen playing. Phil is one of the most popular acts to play here with his fine guitar solos and vocals
Saturday 9 May - Join us for our VE Day Anniversary celebrations when we will be raising funds for the Royal British Legion. This culminates with a good traditional time with Gina playing the piano including some of those wartime classics to sing along to!
Monday Night is Quiz Night – regular event - we welcome teams of all sizes to take part. Entry is now 50p per person and you don’t have to be an experienced “quizzer” to take part. It really is great fun! The quizzes commence at 9:00 pm. Back by popular request - the snowball accumulator – get the answers right and the jackpot could be yours.
Steak Night - regular event - not to be missed! Tuesday night is Steak Night at The Rising Sun. A special set menu with a range of steaks and grills at a set price of £20 for 2 people; including a bottle of wine (or £10 for one person including a large glass of wine). Unbeatable value and not to be missed!
Weekly Walks around Clanfield - regular event – meet at the pub.
On Wednesday at 10.00 and Sunday at 11:00 in the morning. Walking is a fantastic way of keeping fit. The walks last about an hour and are led by fully trained Walk Leaders as part of Hampshire’s Get Active initiative. You don't even need to book.
Curry Night – regular event – add spice to your life! Thursday Night is Curry Night at the pub. Curry and a bottle of Cobra beer or a medium glass of house wine is just £7.95. Meal served between 18.00 and 21.00
Friday Night is Music Night! We have, what is rapidly becoming one of our focal events, with our Jazz Jam Evening. We should have Chris Tait himself back this week from his latest round of playing on the Cruise Ships!
Friday Night Food! With summer fast approaching, this Friday also sees the return of our famous Friday “Catch of the Day” with fish brought back by ‘yours truly’ straight from the quayside - Camber Dock in Portsmouth - to our kitchen. Details are posted on Facebook once I know what has been netted that day.
Saturday Night sees a another evening to relax and forget the strains and stresses of the week listening to Gina at the piano. She will be playing all of your favourites and then some!
Sunday Roast – regular event – traditional meal at your local friendly pub!
Look out for the launch of the new Summer Menu; not to mention the New Wine list where the results from the recent wine tasting evening can be seen…....I wonder what wines will have made the cut!
