Two Clanfield CC players picked up trophies last week for outstanding performances playing for their Saturday sides in the Hampshire cricket leagues. Clanfield only play friendly, non-league cricket so the players don't get the opportunity with the village club.
Chris Wheeler was the leading run scorer in Regional Division 3 North East playing for Bishops Waltham iii, scoring 782 runs across the 2015 season. His top score was 139 not out and he beat the next best batsman in the division by nearly 300 runs.
Meanwhile Ben Cox was leading wicket taker in Regional Division 4 South East. Ben took 34 wickets to comfortably win the award. In fact, he took 3 more in an match which was abandoned, so did not count in the league statistics. Ben's best performance was 6 for 10 against Porchester.
The awards were presented by former Hampshire player Tim Tremlett at the Novotel Hotel in Southampton.
