Christmas Orders from Reeve Butchers - Update
15th December 2016
Winter Cricket Report
Clanfield Cricket Club went into their Christmas break with a superb and comprehensive win in the indoor league on Sunday.
Batting first, they lost an early wicket as Alex Andrews was caught and bowled for 7. Haider Khan picked up the scoring and soon retired on 25 before Bradley, Stuart and Wehrle all scored good runs quickly. Haider came back to contribute 22 in a final over that yielded 32 runs in total, finishing 47 not out in Clanfield's total of 142 for 3.
When Railway Triangle batted, Clanfield's bowlers were soon on top and wickets from Mark Turnbull and Matt Bradley reduced the opposition to 24 for 5 after 5 overs. Although the last man stood firm, good bowling meant runs were hard to score off the bat and Railway Triangle were all out for 52 giving Clanfield a 90 run win.
A fine win and nice way to end before Christmas.
