6th January 2016
If you would like to be involved with the campaign to save Crimea Barn, Down Farm, please come to a meeting of the
Crimea Barn Project Group
at The Pavilion, Peel Park, Chalton Lane
Monday 25 January, 7pm,
Clanfield Parish Council will vote on whether to take responsibility for the barns at its full meeting on Tuesday 2 February at 7pm, Clanfield Memorial Hall.
Can you help save Crimea Barn for our village?
This Victorian flint 'Crimea Barn', part of Down Farm and a landmark building in the village, is under threat of demolition as part of the housing development. Clanfield Parish Council has until the beginning of February 2016 to confirm to Barrett Homes it will take responsibility for it. Once restored, potential uses are as a parish office, village museum and offices. Bats could also be encouraged back to the building.
All offers of help, please, to: clanfieldpc@virginmedia.comWe are asking for help and practical support from our villagers to preserve this important part of our agricultural heritage. Organisations and others able to assist with person-power, materials or other offers of practical help will be very welcome and contributions recognised.
