Can you help save Crimea Barn for our village?
Our mid nineteenth-century 'Crimea Barn', part of Down Farm and a landmark building in the village, is under threat of demolition as part of the housing development.
Clanfield Parish Council has until the beginning of February 2016 to confirm to Barrett Homes it will take responsibility for it, including financing renovation. Once restored, potential uses are as a parish office, village museum and offices. Bats, which have roosted there, could also be encourag...ed back to the building.
The parish council is asking for practical and other support to preserve Crimea Barn as an important part of our village's diminishing agricultural heritage.
Organisations and residents able to offer person-power, materials or other assistance and skills will be more than welcome and contributions recognised.
Any offers of help are greatly appreciated and should be sent to: clanfieldpc@virginmedia.com
